I'm with that, that is one of my favourite quotes
I meant, what do you understand that makes you think that?
I think Socrates was a great philosopher, especially considering how long ago he lived. He was well ahead of his time.
My favourite of his quotes is very probably his quotes on ignorance.
Here are probably my two favourite Socrates quotes at the moment atleast:
The first one relating to what you said (above): "I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance" - Socrates.
And the second one: "The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance" - Socrates.

I think simply claiming he is the son of God doesn't mean he actually believes it. He might be messing around or whatever. But if he actually believes it, although it is unlikely that
anyone will believe him, it
is bad for
him. He can't help being ignorant of the truth. He can help
choosing to ignore things, but in my opinion, choosing to ignore things that you simply don't want to believe, whether it is true or not, is one of the biggest cases of ignorance of all. And how could he help the ignorance of approving of
deliberate ignorance? If you believe that this is indeed also ignorance. How could he help that? And if he actually believes it is all true, and isn't choosing to ignore things, he just really believes it, this is also of course ignorance which he can't help. In my opinion.
