I'm confident that not forking over 10% gross into the collection plate might do the trick.

RE: Interview
I don't really care. I don't expect what I write on an open forum like this to private in any regard. So I voted yes.

But I wouldn't want to think you were going to do a mashup of the original posts which misrepresented what I said either.

RE: Interview
Depends on whether or not they care about you making "alot" of grammar and spelling mistakes. Don't want them "comming" here if that would turn them off.

RE: Interview
It's an irrelevant poll, no one can stop you doing whatever.

But to think that a church of the all-loving* Jesus Christ kicked you out for being needy and yet you come to atheist forums trying to convert people to your backward believes is the height of irony.

RE: Interview
The forum is public, ie open for all. If you want to show it to others, you are in your right.
Whatever I wrote in here is for everyone to read, regardless of their religious/political/whatever beliefs.
Hence, you get a yes from me.

But I fail to see how any of your points has ever come across to an atheist.
You appear to be a standard apologist, creating/re-using excuses for the shortcomings of your religion.
Also, you seem to have one of those text-book conversions: "I was a naughty boy, did a lot of bad stuff, but then I saw the light and was convinced of god." I always thought these conversions were BS, but there you are.... and I sincerely don't think you're a poe.

I don't know how referring someone from a church to this website is going to help your case, unless to prove that you are actively trying to show your "worldview" onto those who do not share it..... even if not succeeding in converting anyone.

BTW, I didn't know church membership implied some sort of interview... I thought you just went there, gradually got to know the people, offer to help here and there, and, in time, you become a qualified member!

If Christianity is reverting back to a mystery cult, fine by me!

RE: Interview
Fine by me Drippy, you can do your 'spiritual masturbation' session with the interviewer at our expense all you want, although as an atheist I fail to see the point. Why go trough all that trouble when you can more easily volunteer in a charity, like giving soup to the poor? All you have to do is show up willing to help. I've helped many times in the Portuguese food bank (distributing food, logistics work, making campaigns on supermarkets, etc) and it didn't take an interview, just the will to work. Rest assured that the feeling of accomplishment is much more real than the feeling you get from repeating 'god is great' like a drone.

I guess you just want to find a group where you can pound your chest real hard, to reafirm your 'faith'. Sure, go to town Dodgy

Drippy ...I find you exceedingly foolish. To come to an atheist forum to save your own skin/ reputation/ standing in an outdated cult offensive.

As stated above this is an open PUBLIC forum.

Are you SURE you want the entirety of your pathetic life on here exposed to those who see the word atheism and dive back into their protective little shells?? Are you certain you want to expose your failure??

RE: Interview
So much for Christian acceptance. Excommunications still exist? You have to go through actual interviews to get into a church?? Wow, they [the churches] have some awfully bloated opinions on their relevance and worth in the world, don't they?

I wouldn't tell them you consort with atheists. They'll probably kick you out on your ass almost instantly. Churches are awfully quick to judge despite the teachings of their messiah telling people to never do that. Proof: You have to go through an interview, which is essentially a judgment panel.

But hey, I won't say you shouldn't use anything here for said interview; by all means, cherry-pick that which works for you and that which does not...er...I mean...I am sure you'll be completely fair and unbiased about what you've read and engaged in here. *Chuckles*
