I 'm only surprised that they haven't refined it to rat on women when they leave the house.

"If I need an SMS to let me know my wife is leaving Saudi Arabia, then I'm either married to the wrong woman or need a psychiatrist,"

This one was pretty good.

The price of oil = ignoring women-apartheid

Don't you think it's a little late to reassert your domination when your wide has skipped country?

Nor do I, their husbands can come and retrieve them before they flee to Australia and experience freedom.

Perhaps in another few hundred years it might occur to them that there might be a reason why their wives are choosing to leave the country, and that perhaps they might be better served by fixing those reasons instead of spending all this money on monitoring equipment and infrastructure.

"Nah, they'll never go for it."

I agree that 'they'll never go for it'; however, I think your timeline can be accelerated.

First, the oil won't last another two hundred years, so the power base disappears.

Second, if the Saudis think that Syria is as far east that the unrest spreads they are sadly mistaken.
