Really? Show me one verse where it says it's absolute heavenly truth...

Did you not listen to me? I don't care.

No reading I give of the bible will be any more credible than anything you give, and crucially, that level of credibility is zero because the entire book is basically literary chinese whispers. You're running from a facsimile of a facsimile of a facsimilie of a real, truthful thing, and I'm being generous by even allowing that the events depicted might be true at all.

Besides, like I also said, I don't give a shit about what you think of the bible, because you aren't the world. I care about how the world changes, how it suffers, because of what real, demonstrable people think of it. I'm happy you have an opinion, and I'm happy that you cherry pick because it makes you just that little bit more intellectually honest- I really do- but your opinion is personal. The majority of christian denominations take all those "God said"s in the old testament (and I'd figure that would be a pretty good indication that it takes itself as divine truth, no?) very literally, and their opinions are why I give a shit at all.

And yes, before you chime in, I know that there's more than one christian position on anything. That's still not the point.

The joke is on you, you ignorant fuck. Despite the physical pain, I have more respect for Drich.

Smug laughter is a pretty standard theist response when a genuine, intellectually honest one isn't forthcoming to them.

What? You mean like your "I don't care" rant?
You made a claim about the Bible and chickened out when called on it.
You can fuck off now little boy...

You disingenuous little snake.

If the bible didn't claim to be divinely inspired truth, then why the fuck do you believe the things within it? Why do so many people use it to inform their lives? Why preach it? Unless your actual fucking claim is that the bible is all fictional, then you fucking believe the bible is divinely inspired too, you goddamn charlatan. You can't have it both ways, catfish: do you believe in the bible, or don't you?

And besides, that's completely separate than my claim in the first place, but I guess actually responding to that would be doing something honest, and I do understand that the truth gives you an allergic reaction. My point, even back to the very first post you responded to, was about people living in demonstrable reality, not your sweet book of made up fairytales.

Now get your head out of your ass and respond to what I actually said, this time without the condescension. If you physically can.

Oh, so you don't wish to fuck off then?
How about answering my challenge before you go off on another "I don't care" rant. (however, I love a whiny rant, so it's win-win for me)

So, you're going to continue to maintain a position that makes no sense either in objective reality or your own worldview, just to hold one that's counter to mine?

Is disagreeing with everyone who won't walk in lockstep with your views really that important to you that you'll give up any sense of credibility to keep it up?

Does 'pissant' have a proper Greek translation?
