As there are 50 states, that makes it difficult to choose as a possible tourist.

It depends on what you'd like to do when you get here. Can you give us some idea what you'd like to do, what interests you?

I have been to two states, Washington and Florida.
Orlando is nice if you like amusement parks and it's not too far from Cape Canaveral, Seattle for the city itself and the surrounding nature. When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Type of food will determine the suggestion too.
I'm partial to DC, since it's the capital and the museums are FREE, which is more than you can say in a LOT of U.S. cities. Plus, since it's the seat of the federal gov't, the museums are not only free, they're first rate. If you go during the summer months, before it gets too hot, the gardens are gorgeous as well. You could easily spend a week in DC and not see everything it has to offer. The food is all-around good. The Harvard Museums are great, as is the Science Museum. The food in the North End is fucking outstanding. Oregon or Washington. It has barely any light pollution, if you go into the country and there is so much wilderness, that you'll get a lot of first-hand life sciences.  I've been to more than half of the United States. I hate the South and there isn't much going on in the middle, unless you are into agriculture or geology (I'm into the latter, so I love the cave-y states). Feel free to ask me anything.
