There is no possibility we were created in the image of some being that then chose the Jewish people as something special then sent himself in the form of a human child to Earth to be sacrificed in order to save us from sin. There is no possibility that god exists.

how is there no possibility? i thought in science everything is Possible till proven impossible. i think you mean unlikely. Cause at the end of the day there is no Conclusive proof that its true or not

Because the stories in the Old Testament are demonstrably false. Earth was not created in six days. It formed by accretion from the solar nebula. Neither was the diverse life we see around us created by some supreme being. There was no first couple. All life we know, including you, evolved from earlier species over billions of years. There are no chosen people. The people of Israel did not escape from slavery in Egypt and conquer the promised lands. Yahweh and many of the other stories of the Bible are remnants of earlier fables. The evidence says your god is false. No different than any of the other thousands of gods created humans before or since.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.

RE: What's your problem with christianity?
Why I dislike Christianity:

1. Why is it any truer than any other religion?
2. Which denomination is correct?
3. Which version of the bible is correct?
4. Who gets to speak with the voice of God, if man is too small to understand him?
5. Contradictions, contradictions.
6. Concept of heaven/hell is ridiculous.
7. Has fought against progress for too long.
8. Some of the most avid followers seem to have a problem with understanding their own set of rules (do not steal, give away your fortune, do not judge your fellow man etc.)
9. Some branches enhance problems with and lie about sex and sexuality.
10. Even the good the church does comes always with strings attached.

I would believe you if you either showed me the talking animal or substantial proof like this:

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Hypocrisy does not dictate when something is or is not a religion.

I never said it did ! but religion is full of hypocrites dictating something hypocritical which is the hypocrisy I implied .

Goodnews, why bold the stuff you write? Fatter doesn't necessarily imply better..

So you said a whole lot of nothing then. Theism is a religion when attached to hypocritical people - those are your words.

I only do it, so it is more distinguishable and separable from yours above, much like this

But if everyone did it, it wouldn't be anymore.. *Kay hatches evil plan to moderate all the posts!*

Well, at least it looks nicer than something written in a garish color. Smile

No, I have said theism and atheism when attached to hypocrites become religions of hypocrisies ! And it is you that has said nothing !

RE: What's your problem with christianity?
I find it interesting that every time I bring up the problems surrounding the Council of Nicea, I'm met with the sound of crickets and a quick change of subject... I've inquired about these issues and problems for nigh on two decades now... With no refutations or comments.
Seriously, I want to know the counter argument/s. I don't think so highly of myself as to believe I'm the first person to have realized these problems.
As far as I can tell, if the foundation of the bible is faulty, there's no point in discussing what it actually contains, as it can simply be dismissed out-of-hand as a fallacious book.
