What's your problem with christianity?

Fair distinction; however, to your second point I was trying to be succinct.

I honestly thought I was saving server space by not listing all of my grievances with Christianity in favor of communicating my tolerance for those that have their beliefs, but only desire that they don't burden the rest of us with it.

The whole point of belief is to wrap oneself up in something that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Fuck that! If I want the warm fuzzies I'll buy a friggin' teddy bear. At least it's harmless.

Religion is anything but. Religion promotes authoritarianism, misogyny, has been used to justify slavery, genocide and racism. It is vile delusion. It needs to go. And we will eventually evolve past it.

And no, there is no god. Any god. Thinking

My own opinion on belief vs' religion in a nutshell.

A person can still come to a decision by themselves with teaching, or can come to a decision by themselves without teaching. By "no teaching", I'm referring to no forms of verbal or written communication, which I very much doubt is possible in the developed world in the 21st century. It's just not true I'm afraid.

That's a fair point, but it's very much your own interpetation when there is no church/religion to tell you what it means.

The only known snake " language" is Parseltongue (sp?) And that was fictitious too.
well tell me what you think of this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD823KyQx9Y would that help explain the snake problem?

No it doesn't. I think it is an insult to sub-saharan cultures and that any keyan would dismiss it as nothing more that an attempt to shoe-horn abrahmic religion into science. The Harry Potter movies have more credibility than this.

Have you heard the story of the jewish archeologist who found no evidence of his faith? His religious tome was found to be completely false
