Yeah... these next gens all seem a bit silly one way or another, especially the fucking Xbox ONE. The steam box looks cool but I'd rather just buy a PC with that money. So I'm sticking with my 3DS and (future) PC and all the old consoles I have laying around.

I use them to play on emulators!
And that's all you need Really, the only point to a console is that it comes with shit to hook up its screen and sound to your massive TV and surround sound system... so basically: stupid and lazy people.
Pretty good market, that.

nonony... lol... nice hint to our old acquaintance!
I think I did a really good job with that. The mouse bit at the end was just beautiful with its own minireferences (two of them alongside the main reference)...
But nobody would understand those, so I'm just happy that the 'Nonony' bit was made sense of

It's just what certain people are used to.
Personally I can not aim for shit with a mouse and using a keyboard for gaming I find very unintuitive.
That's really only because I've console gamed all my life though, so for me I much prefer playing games on a console.
I was thinking of building myself a new pc with high end specs, and when I thought about buying GTA5, I'd still get it for ps3, simply because it's what I'm comfortable playing with. I'd only really buy RPG's and strategy games for pc myself.

Oh, I've had some really awesome headshot combos playing Unreal Tournament (GOTY edition), in a special server, where everyone had an automatic rifle... on huge maps. Shoot, turn around, shoot, turn a bit, shoot.... that accuracy and speed can only come through with a mouse.
But yeah... I hear you, humans are animals of habits. You get used to something and your mind is stuck there.

Well, I think that's debatable. I know for a fact people with controllers can perform similar feats of accuracy.

Quote:Rumor has it that there was a project many many months ago at Microsoft that was under wraps. The goal was to bridge XBOX gamers with PC Gamers so they could play against one another in games like Unreal, or Gears of War. This was all part of their Live strategy, and had Microsoft just stuck to their guns and made it work PC Gaming might be in a much better position than it is today.
There was a project that got killed at Microsoft. This project was designed to allow console gamers and PC gamers to interact and battle over a connected environment. Personally I wish it would have stayed the course. I've heard from reliable sources that during the development they brought together the best console gamers to play mediocre PC gamers at the same game... and guess what happened? They pitted console gamers with their "console" controller, against PC gamers with their keyboard and mouse.
The console players got destroyed every time. So much so that it would be embarrassing to the XBOX team in general had Microsoft launched this initiative. Is this why the project was killed Who knows, but I'd love to hear from anyone involved --- what happened?

It's the best I could find... Everything else just links to that article or is just a forum (and I found a bunch of them) where people ask which is better.... the debate has been going on for years.... PC controllers (keys and mouse) win, statistically, for FPS games.
