Women rights in Islam
RE: Women rights in Islam
It's probably the dancing and not the rain which they're upset about. Just like hardcore Baptist fundies here in the U.S., any form of dancing is allowing Satan to enter your body and leads to vile things, etc.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Sorry but you are mistaken
There is no restriction in Islam about work, education or speech.

However men and women in Islam are not allowed to flirt or seduce each other except for the purpose of marriage.

The same punishment for adultery applies equally on them

Yes, this is regarding financial and political issues
It has two purposes
1- to keep women a bit away from those issues
2- Because women don't think the same as men (usually more emotional)

Do you think that this point is an important issue for you (as a women) or it is only the matter of equality that you consider.

You in your own life don't apply equality!

If you are an employee; do you get the same salary as the CEO?
If you are an owner do you give all people the same salary?
NO, because they have different qualifications

It is the same in Islam, women have different qualifications than men, sometimes more sometimes less, that is why they are different.

Yes, so we put 1 point for Men

Men 1
Women 0

So if a woman gets less, simply because she lacks a penis, then yes, that is unequal treatment. How is this "justice," since women are the ones left raising the kids in the event of a husband's death?
Your information is wrong.
While women inherits half
Men are obligated to spend (all) on her, either husband, father, brother or next of keen
So it is actually in favor of women not men
What she inherits is for her to keep, while all of her expenses are to be covered by her husband or father!
I think we should be put 2 for women and 1 for men for this point!
Men 2
Women 2

Raising children (financially) is the father duty
Custody is for boys up to 9 with mother, girls up to 11, then to father
(unless they agree on some other arrangements)

Quote:Why should she inherit less than the man's brother? Or should she marry the brother as well? That's rather demeaning and treating her like property rather than a partner.
There is nothing about that in Islam (I think it is in Hindu not Islam)

Let us say, for the sake of argument, that on average women 'think more emotionally' than men.
This does not mean that all women think less well than men or that all men think better than women. I strongly suspect you can't hold a candle to Marie Curie or Rosalind Franklin, or handle money or business as well as Sandra Peterson or Ellen Kullman.

You want to treat all women the same. Can you say 'stereotype'? Can you say 'discrimination'? Sure you can.

Your thinking is medieval and unclean.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Dancing in the rain is dishonorable? is this a view you hold?

Yes, absolutely because dancing is a horrible blasphemy against Allah! Doubly so when it is raining and anyone dancing when it is raining is subject to die the death.

What's this about Sisters-In-Law being treated like wives?

It is Ramadan till August 7th. They pray and fast. I doubt he/she/it will do anything on the internet. I am sure he/she/it is suffering from hunger and lack of time to work on that super duper PHD.
