I'm having a difficult time determining that this is a fact other than eye witness testimony, which is already notoriously unreliable, and the accounts of which are mixed for either side.

I could pretty much kiss you, right about now.

One time when I was starting college there was an event where student bodies set up tables to try and get new members. I was wandering around from table to table and I walk up to one and start looking at the literature. I realized that it was a fraternity for hispanics. I glance up at the people standing behind it, 4 hispanic guys, and they are glaring at me like I had insulted their mothers. I was shocked at the loathing in their eyes.

Why were they directing those hateful looks at me? They don't know me. I haven't done anything to them. Oh...

They hate me because I'm white.

One time in the military I was sitting in our berthing in a packed room full of people watching a movie. These three black guys are sitting there having a very loud conversation while everyone was trying to watch the movie. Eventually I got tired of it and said, "Hey guys, we're trying to watch this. Can you keep it down?"

You know what they did? One of the black guys started insulting me and mocking me with a stereotypical white nerd voice. I mean just incredibly insulting. The other black guys were laughing their asses off. Almost everyone else in that room was white. Did anyone say anything in my defense?

Fuck no they didn't. They studiously ignored it. I couldn't even retaliate in kind. You know why? Because I would have gone up on charges, put on restriction, had my pay docked, reduced in rank.

Because the military has "zero" tolerance about racism. But those black guys could be racist to me? And none of the other people have the balls to do anything?

Fuck no they didn't. Because they would have fucked themselves.
