It's because babies have larger eyes in proportion to the head.

The dogs doing what they do best, laying around while we visit with guests. Fletcher is starting to act his age, 14. I think he'll be done soon.

Pops will be 13 on Wednesday. Pretty old for a big dog though I've known a few grays that made it to 15 and 16. He has arthritis in his front legs and lower back. His back legs, both of which were broken when he was racing, give him problems from time to time. His rear end just collapses under him sometimes. But he looks good, eats well and seems to be happy even though he doesn't get out as much as he would like these days. We doubt he will be with us much longer, but as long as the tramadol and rimadyl seem to keep the pain manageable we plan to keep him around.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.
