Atheism has faults? The only thing atheism is, is a lack of belief in a deity. I personally do not believe in a deity because I see no compelling reason to believe one exists.

How does your response justify believing in winged creatures flying to heaven and the moon splitting? If you believe these things (and I think you do), then no amount of logical reasoning can persuade you otherwise. And THAT is the problem with religions. You have to be brainwashed into not accepting any other answers, whereas atheists are free to throw away beliefs that have been proven scientifically false.
