what is Happiness …??!!

what is Happiness …??!!
Monitoring the journey of ' feeling ' inside ourselves, it seems to be ‎that , the internal self receives feeling , (good or bad) through an ‎imaginary ' gate ' , which is opened partially or completely according ‎to ; ‎
‎(1) Repeatability ; we may be dazzled when seeing a luxurious ‎palace or car , for the first time , and envy their owner, who may be ‎busy with his own problems , and may not receive any feeling when he ‎looks at them ; so , the amount of our received enjoy is much higher ‎than the owner. The same situation exists in relations which are ‎based on sex. ‎
‎(2) Possession ; the nature of all living beings is to have a 'full open' ‎feeling gate , while pursuing or hunting a 'difficult' object; a man may pay money and effort to get a woman who may be less beautiful than his wife, - the same for my cat ‎turns crazy when seeing an insect , but he almost accept the expensive ‎fish or chicken which he knows that they are prepared for him' . ‎‏ ‏
‎(3) Relativity ; a poor guy well gain a great amount of enjoy , when ‎he eat a cheap sandwich, which you may loose appetite when watching ‎it. When we pass by a very sick miserable guy sleeping in street, and ‎may have disability or mutation in some of his organs, we feel a great ‎sympathy for him, and this scene may turn us annoyed or upset for ‎the rest of the day. this is our share of bad feelings , but , the miserable ‎man used to deal with his case , and rarely to receive bad feeling about ‎that , moreover , he may be enjoying a cheap food , which is difficult ‎to be available for him.‎
‎(4) expectation ; that always produce passive effect… , when expecting ‎to receive pain, your 'worry' duplicates the received amount of ‎suffering. The same when expecting to receive some enjoy, the feeling ‎gate will not 'fully opened' as in the same case, if you were ‎surprised… ‎
** The conclusion is that, it is worthless to be in a situation that people ‎consider ' happy' , but to receive feelings of happiness. The most furious ‎enemies of happiness are , worry about the future, regret what you had lost before ‎ ‎and thinking of what you can not have….. ‎
** It is worth to be mentioned that , the majority of the 'third world' ‎people are happy..!!!!!!, although all those low conditions and problems surrounding ‎them. After studying their 'astonishing' case , I found out the secret of ‎this 'miracle'…, their Islam religion teaches them that ; ‎
‎(" all amounts of ' happiness' and ' misery ' were decided for every ‎human , 'before' creating the universe, so , you must pursue well in ‎your work, but do neither worry about the coming future , nor regret what you had lost before‎ " ). ‎

I think happiness is kinda fleeting, it is lasting peace I think most of us want. No thing or no person can really "make" you happy, even if it feels that way for a few moments. Happiness and more importantly peace, need to come from one's self, when you are comfortable in your own life and you aren't looking for something else outside of yourself is probably a good indicator that you're happy in your life. Smile

It takes work and lots of mistakes. I speak from experience in looking for happiness outside of myself too often in life.

I think real happiness is just finding something that gives you purpose to your life.

But I also think happiness is an unrealistic goal, happiness comes and goes. I'm good with finding contentedness.

Happiness seems largely dependent on individual brain chemistry, in my experience. People are either naturally happy or not.

But I've identified a few things that tend to make people happier (all simply from observation):
1.) Making things. People who routinely make things (writing, music, quilts, furniture, clothes, etc) are generally happier than people who don't.
2.) Doing work that is valued by your community. If your job isn't helping your community, volunteering can take care of this. People who feel they are genuinely helping their communities on a daily basis are happier, even though they often make less money.
3.) Having a partner who you get along with well. This can be a lover or a roommate or a best friend- but having someone close to you who you have a trusting and harmonious and interesting relationship with is really important to happiness.

These seem to be the key things to making people happier, but screwy brain chemistry can ruin happiness for people who have all these things.

Sometimes, happiness is a hot fudge sundae, with two spoons -- one for me and the other for a good friend to share it with me.

But, if they stand me up, more for me! Big Grin
