As long as you do what you can, and the more like minded people do the same, "small" adds up.

Brian - While I would like to see at the very least more parties, your advice is still not practical. "Start your own political party" is not the next step the vast majority of us can do, nor does it align with what some in this thread are advocating for as a solution. Doing what one can helps significantly, I agree, but don't act like shit is so goddamn simple.

I don't vote either, there's no point to it. I'm also registered as a member of the Pansexual Peace Party just because of how much of a joke it is. It's not that voting is bad either, but the system we have in place dampens its effectiveness. The candidate with the most money wins 96% of the time, that doesn't exactly sound like votes are swinging elections. I would however vote in a system that has publicly funded campaigns and a no party system.

Nothing to do with thinking? What good will mindless change do? How will you enact that change without like minded people? If you actually want things to improve you need to know what to change, how to improve it and the means to implement that change. Unless you're planning on going in mob-handed you'll also need popular support. Trying to enact physical change without those prerequisites is like driving a car with no steering wheel: sure it'll get you somewhere, but it probably won't get you very far and it certainly won't be where you wanted (November 1, 2013 at 5:51 pm)Brian37 Wrote:(November 1, 2013 at 5:40 pm)plaincents822 Wrote: I don't vote either, there's no point to it.
