Because it's an adjective not a name. From the bible and that. The guy who screwed over his brother, married his cousins (?) slept with their servants and beat up on the Lord God. As opposed to any other Jacob.

Ah, yeah. You can look it up on Google. Short version, I think Jesus talked a lot of sense, but I have serious misgivings about the old Testament much of which appears to make no frickin sense whatsoever and Pauline writings, which kinda do, but only in places.

Jesus is the embodiment of the best humanity has to offer (excluding the whole slavery thing). If you live by Jesus you live by love, which is what I strive for every day. We aren't much different you and I. Hopefully you aren't here to tell me I'm going to hell like your fellow brethren. Its rude.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
