Vermont Taking the Lead!
http://www.occupydemocrats.com/vermont-m...ple-video/

Quote:The ACA provided states with federal funds to institute a Medicaid expansion. The states chose to expand the program also were able to set up their own state exchanges, which were relatively free from the problems the federal site had. Vermont decided to take it a step further by setting up their very own single payer system.

The slogan of the program: Everybody in, nobody out.

The program will be fully operational by 2017, and will be funded through Medicare, Medicaid, federal money for the ACA given to Vermont, and a slight increase in taxes. In exchange, there will be no more premiums, deductibles, copay’s, hospital bills or anything else aimed at making insurance companies a profit. Further, all hospitals and healthcare providers will now be nonprofit.

The FOX News Fucks will shriek themselves hoarse shouting SOCIALISM!!!!!

Nice! Maybe pigs will fly and other states will follow suit. Well, the ones left in the Union anyway.

I bloody well hope so. But, in this country? Where socialism is a dirty word?

Bernie Sanders is my favorite American politician. He is a socialist who supports gun rights, just like me!

Lots of things are dirty words until they work and get people re-elected. If this works as hoped, other states will be scrambling to follow suit, and the holdouts will be too sick to protest. :p
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
