Theme Discussion

RE: Theme Discussion
The old one wasn't broken, but a lot of people seemed to be using the Stealth Theme. I'd never exactly liked the old theme that much, so I uploaded a new test theme which was unanimously rejected Big Grin. Then someone had the idea of just using the Stealth Theme as the default theme, and it works well, so I've changed it.

But yeah, if you aren't a supporter of "change for its own sake", then you can rest assured than none of the above actually happened, and an ogre named Frank told me that I had to make the change or he'd eat my family. Tough call, but I pulled through Tongue

RE: Theme Discussion
Stuff doesn't seem to quite fit across the top. the black seems too much of a contrast - tho' every time I try making themes they end up looking washed out Sad The brown was sorta strong but it was kinds cool somehow. Your old blue icons (those like 'rate' and the kudos hand) seem a better contrast. You could use that as a colouring reference if you wanted to try another.

I hate wide side margins - they're a waste of space. the hatching is lame. Some of the features are changed - ie the latest post link is now just the arrow.. but I guess you could easily revert that at your discretion.

I guess you'll tweak this over time. The silver/ grey is kinda smart and has good contrast for reading text. I like a glassy look and a matching glassy logo of black glass etc would look cool IMO.

nice work so far tho' Wink

RE: Theme Discussion
Stealth theme looks fine except for the banner.

yeah the red mars bar thing was a little off.. I've got another great idea.. let's have a banner contest.

And if you feel the need for change for change sake in the future.. hold another one! I'm sure some of you guys are artsy. Even if logic is the only side of you brain you use I think a banner in 1's and 0's could be cool
