When does something qualify as Classic Rock?
January 25, 2014 at 3:23 pm
I just made a classic rock playlist.
I put Nirvana in it. Nevermind came out 23 years ago. I feel like that counts.
What would your definition of Classic Rock be? When does something become classic?

They play Nirvana on the classic rock stations.
But really it's just rock that is classic, not classic rock, which to me is rock from the 60's and 70's.

I would consider it classic if it was old timey-wimey music.
To be fair, what used to be considered modern will always eventually become classic.
