Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken." Sith code
Why jacob, whatever happened to the famous xtian non-judgement?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
I never claimed to be any good at it!
Besides, when people say "what would Jesus do" it's worth remembering that trashing someone's shop and chasing them out onto the street while beating them with a whip remains on the table.

I've never understood the "what would Jesus do?" mentality. Technically speaking, wouldn't the answer he's most famous for be "die, and then resurrect?"
Who the fuck is going to try actually doing what Jesus was most known for?

How about a universal relationship with the living God rather than a man-made universal religion? I happen to know one.
Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.
You happen to think you know one.
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain
'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House “Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom "If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech
Fellow Philosophers?,
Belief and knowledge can only be contrasted; they are incomparable. What you believe, you don't know; What you know, you don't believe any more. What you believe is yet to be known; What you know is past belief. Jacob, learn from me to attain perfect peace of mind; Others, learn from Jideoni-Charles to attain perfect peace of mind.
Let me guess, you just need a little bit of money first.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
