The video maker is a disingenuous cunt. He would have us bounce around the Bible to defend his position that God being with Judah means he is with him, but life won't be 'hunky dory'. How do I know this is bullshit? Because Judges 1: 1-18, the 18 versus immediately preceding the verse in question, are full of kicking ass, lopping off thumbs and destroying towns.
Apologists will say fucking anything to defend their pet, not understanding that most apologetics only make matters worse.

Yeah, I've seen this commonly done when I was young, going to sunday school. You start with a verse in one part of the book, then jump to other verses. Sometimes going from the old to the new, or vice versa. If god left them because they sinned, as the guy in the video guessed, then what exactly did he do between those battles that made god leave. If it was just about not over extending themselves, why didn't god just say to only take the mountain, and leave the people.
It smells real fishy. The video wasn't too bad to watch, but it really seems like he's grasping at straws.
