It really can't be that the medical establishment - at the same time as promoting vaccines to rid ourselves of the diseases we can beat - has also gotten exponentially better at diagnosing and categorizing cancer, leading to a "perceived" increase when in reality only actually catching what was already there...

And one funny thing I'd like to point out at this time. The SV40, which may cause cancer (eyeing through a handful of research, they have all come up inconclusive), was the problem with the polio vaccine, not the vaccine itself. It's like saying that avocado causes bloody diarrhea and projectile vomiting, when you cut it open with a knife contaminated with E. coli..

Ok, wow. I step away for a couple of days and the thread explodes, mostly due to one certain derper within our midst. Not naming names here, but if you come in spouting this 'vaccines are bad' garbage, you might find the guilty party when you look in your mirror.

Yes, rates for several different diseases and conditions and disorders have gone up as vaccine dependence has gone up. This is NOT because of the vaccine, but because of better diagnosis of those conditions. Kids are just as likely to be autistic or have ADHD in the middle of some African refuge camp as they are here, but since they lack good medical resources, their psych condition isn't going to be diagnosed and they aren't going to get a vaccine. So I can see where the correlation comes from, but it's hardly something we should emulate.

Here's the other scary thing: if youre vaccinated but everyone else around you isn't, you might want to move. Herd immunity works against you and if everyone else around you is sick with a germ that you had a vaccine for, well, even the best immune system isn't going to be able to keep up with that many pathogens coming at them all at once.
