how do you make ends meet?

I've just really been successful at getting interviews, I know some tips and tricks to increase your likelihood of getting a call.
The resumes are targeted.

No cover levels. Don't want to write cover letters because I am entirely unsure of what things I could possibly put in a cover letter that would actually increase my chances of getting hired, and unsure of how much it may be true that putting in the wrong things would decrease my chances.

I have read things about what things SHOULD be in a cover letter, but there is a lot of fundamental differences of opinions of what things will actually HELP your chances, so I'm not sure what things I should do if I ever theoretically write a cover letter.

Considering the level of effort I think it will take for me to write a cover letter that MIGHT help, I just don't know it is worth it to be doing this.

You know what? My mom has also been actively looking for jobs as well very recently, and she has specifically looking for ones that have flexible schedules and are the number of hours she thinks she can commit to having a job. Now, her work history is extremely varied while still being reputable, but also due to just how good she is at making people want to hire her, the jobs that she wanted, she got.

My brother has also been looking for jobs and he has been to college but dropped out before accumulating the number of hours that might make a difference in his eligibility for a job, and has no work experience, and only applies for jobs he thinks he can actually do, which is a difficult thing due to his anxiety and the way it affects him. He has been hired for TWO jobs in this time. BUT... they fired him at his first job very soon after hiring him for reasons that weren't really about his performance, but basically that he was the last hire, and he is in a situation where he is not even sure if he actually still has the job he should have now because his boss has not contacted him with that information for two weeks now.

Basically, I really wish I was my mom and not me.

Don't go off your meds
Definitely good advice and definitely not going to go off them for any reasons. It is insane how stupid that suggestion was.

In my hometown there was a school called The Great Commission school that was a boarding school for Christians that wanted a deeper walk with God. It cost 200 dollars a year I believe so every brand of derelict enrolled to deepen their walk. One of their biggest things was that God heals and that you don't need your meds. I was a Christian in one of the local churches at the time and met many of them in different states of sanity when they would pop by our bible studies or Sunday schools. Wow, what a trip. Many of them were cool guys, like, hippies and such. But Yeah; a few were cautionary tales about not going off your meds.

Huh. I never considered this to be a good idea because my mom was a temp agent and she has absolutely never suggested to me that it would be a good idea to go through a temp agency. I think this is because it really matters a lot for my well-being that whatever job I do, I have the opinion that it is somehow meaningful and not fundamentally soul-killing.

Business has shifted to a paradigm of the disposable interchangeable workforce, and nothing makes that easier than the level of separation both legally and practically that is provided by a temp agency. When seeking a job, you can find meaningful ones even through a temp agency. The tricky part is that you have to speak to a person so they can find out what you want to do and what you might be good at. Ew, I didn't like it either.

WOW, it took me a long time to figure out what you meant from that. At first I thought it was some sort of cliche I had never heard of and had no possible clue as to the meaning of.

Absolutely sure that a person exists that would benefit from this comment. I am a person who has not even eaten a chip since I last went on vacation with my family, which would be months ago, almost a year now. Therefore, I do not see how this information is relevant for me whatsoever, but thanks anyway.

Well, it will allow you to answer questions like, "How many biscuits do you have if you have three chips?" You now know that the answer is 9 so... you are welcome. But really it is just a wacky thing my friend Jeremy said one time when we were stoned. We were in the circle and he said, "Hey guys, did you know that one chip equals three biscuits?" So I live my life by that bit of wisdom and it has made me happy.

Any cover letter will help as long as it is sincere and targeted at the company you are sending it too. If, for no other reason, the staple and additional paper will increase the chance that it misses the trash can when it is thrown away.

I will take your word for it that it is possible that if I go through a temp agency, exactly what I want to happen will actually happen. Hey, that means that this is now something I actually do.

Can't read the small print without trying really hard and I'm not going to try at all, but I'm pretty sure you just posted a thing that is funny. So good for you.
