does getting old suck?

does getting old suck?
So is anyone here a senior citizen and if so does it suck ass?

I personally find that as I get older I become more rational, less psychotic and delusional, more gentle and charitable, and less selfish.

Yes. I believe we get more 'sane' as it were, as we get older.
I have lost most of my urges to beat peoples faces into pulp when they insult me, for example.
This was a regrettable habit that I developed in what you Americans call 'grade school'.
I once said to my father, 'i've calmed down now'. He said 'yeah, but barely'.
I guess he could see it in my eyes, still.
I feel the problem has begun to lessen after my 35fifth birtday.

I sure don't miss the social side of adolescence, but I do miss my insane metabolism, whichhas been replaced by useless weight and occasional backaches.

Id prefer weight gain and arthritis over my previous psociopathic and masochistic tendancies and god complex.

Worst aspect, by far, is outliving great friends.

Generally, yes, though it does have its benefits.

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! There are good sides and bad sides to getting older. I don't like some of the changes I'm going through, but I don't think it sucks so much as it's just different.

The only thing worse than getting old is dying young.
