And to those who said that there were no women, well, we don't have many female members in our school, only two.
Even if we did, males(called "bozkurt") and females(called "asena") are divided in their own respective branches, and hold their own meals in their own homes or dormitories. It has no sexist undertones, but we value discipline in our organisation, and mixed groups usually flaunt that discipline, especially with new, raw recruits.

I attended a large gathering the other day. I went there as a representative of my own area with four of my friends, and a female representative leading our delegation(the one standing on my right).

I take that as a compliment. But most people, after getting to know me say quite the reverse. They'd feel more safer with me in that dark alley than anyone else.

Sarcasm noted. But truthfully, I never saw one actually bothering to regularly attend socialist/communist meetings either. They generally have their own little clique there, they don't get involved in politics. Some on the other hand, have been expelled by the socialists themselves because of their over the line behavior, but those are only a minority.

Why oh why couldn't they have left it at Episode VI? Everyone was happy. The story was concluded, the baddies were beaten and Luke et al had grown as characters to end their arc's nicely.
