Well first of all the church has called for violence in the past. I can easily think of ways Christianity is violent today though. Look no further than what's going on in Africa with Christianity. Also, the whole Anti-Gay problem throughout the centuries stems from religion. You can probably blame a lot of the violence against gay people on the religion that promotes that kind of in-group out-group, so and so is evil mentality. I see you're going to completely forget history after the bible came out. Since slavery in the colonial days wasn't endorsed by the bible at all, no you're right.

Okay you want the actual answer? There is rating on video games for a reason and parent should pay close attention to what children play when they are young, and not be afraid to make kids go outside and play. In short no video games are not bad for kids, but no one should be leeting kids under 10 play GTA or COD. That said many video games can shown to be good for kids are they often have indepth stories with complex characters, they force to use your hand eye coordination and problem solving skills.
None of that can be said for the bible despite the fact that it is easily as violent as GTA 5, yet people rarely say don't let kids read the bible. Tell me if violent protrayed by a imaginary character on a TV screen is harmful to kids, how much more so is it when the violence is not only protrayed but openly emdorsed and bragged about by something that your telling them is a perfect omnipotent deity that they should emulate?

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. In GC's head, it's all about an ideological war between the Church and the "secular world" - a war that will be decided on how many brownie point each side can rack up.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Also what do you mean when you say "The Church"? The close thing to "The Church" is the Catholic church that still accounts for nearly half of all Christians. Yet I doubt you were referring to them

It's impossible to say all of them did anything, even good. And so what if there is good in the church? wasn't your point that Christianity doesn't promote violence and I completely debunked that.

Christianity does not promote violence, a few people who claim to be Christians do violent acts, just as many who claim to be atheist do violent acts. So you haven't debunked anything other than you having integrity.

You're referring to the Catholic church, the protestant church on the whole believe the Catholic church leaders should be prosecuted and jailed for those evil deeds. I personally object to gays because it goes against nature and God says the act is perverted.

Today's church is not responsible for what the church did a thousand years ago, you are still confusing the Catholic church with the Protestant church, you need to define who you are talking about. I never said Christians do no wrong, we make our fair share of mistakes and I never said that some Christians do not condone violence, I said Christianity does not and that the church does not, but I know this must be very difficult for you to figure out. The only thing you have exposed is your small mind and your bigoted ideas about something you have no idea about. When I turn on the news all I see is atheist who kill, rob old women, sell drugs to children, shoot those who try their best to uphold the law, make crack to ruin the lives of families across this country and the atheist pedophiles
who rape and murder countless innocent children in every city in this country, I could go on but I believe you can see what atheist are doing to this country.
