I read this article until the fifth point. Trayce's writing seemed like some sort of conspiracy theory. Also it was as if she had a hidden agenda. So I looked around and found an article that was written by a social worker that has served REAL men, women and children who are victims of rape. A crucial element that Trayce seemed to lack. He responds directly to Trayce's article.

I use wikipedia a lot myself and disagree with people that say wikipedia sucks. My mentioning of wiki here was to show that Wolf also didn't refer to PEER REVIEWED articles. Just because someone references from wiki doesn't mean the info is good quality. The individual article could be filled with citation needed clauses. Worse, the point made by someone could be one that is a citation needed example.

Also wiki makes use of sources that are NOT peer review material themselves. You get magazine references of all sorts there too. I love wiki but here I'm just demonstrating Wolf's facepalm worthy comment.

Ugh, hate this. I've been using Wikipedia regularly for over ten years and the rate at which I encounter anything I can identify as factual errors can be measured in months. And, unless we're talking about the allegedly inerrant word of God, a small amount of error doesn't render the entire thing worthless.

Look I'm not here to pick fights. I'm here to participate and continue my learning. Yes the opinions of psychologists can be trivial. But I'm not so sure when one has actually heard from the horses' mouths. Your psychologist didn't.
