The reason Lawrence Krauss to me is dumb is because he claims non-existence which doesn't even exist can split into two things. The reason there are no billion bound gorillas stomping over NYC is because they don't exist so they can't cause anything. I think Krauss knows he is being belligerent. It was hardly meant to claim a truth, but to highlight an alternate hypothesis. Rather, I should have said, "Read Lawrence Krauss, he ATTEMPTS to turn your nothing into something."

At least there are dedicated physicists and cosmologists seeking the answers in the place of sitting on their hands and assuming "god did it". Let's hope to see better hypotheses in the future.
