[modhat] Folks, take this post as an official speedbump from the staff. We don't want things getting out of hand, so let's all just take a step back.
Please heed this post as we don't want to escalate things.
Thanks,
Fidel [/modhat]

How so? You have extraordinarily extreme views that are demonstrably wrong in some cases. You appear to be a poe who is posing as an atheist pretending to be depressed and hating the world because there is no god in it.

There were a bunch of abandoned hotels on the edge of the beach and my parents and us walked into a bait shop. There was an old drunk rambling to the owner. The owner was very nice and eventually left. She told us the man is a millionaire and became an alcoholic when his wife died. Grief and lack of love can drive you insane no matter how rich you are. That should be apparent to you people. Have a lesson from the wise.
It depends on the problem. If your life is bad because you don't have enough money to pay for a house and food and clothes, then money does make you happier. If your problem is deeply psychological like yours, then no, money won't help except if you spent it on therapists.

We all know who needs to take a step back. You're modhat isn't really neccessary here I don't think.

I mean, around here, you need to rent some marina space to dock your yacht and that doesn't come cheap... then you have all the inspections and provisions and other gear you need just to keep it seaworthy.... not to mention the money you have to spend on women to.. ahem... decorate the boat!
Well in this scenario I would be 'Bill Gates' rich so money wouldn't really be my problem
Ah, Bill Gates rich... I see... you had failed to mention that detail.

In hindsight, yes I really think I should have done.

I know you were being rhetorical. Fuck it though. I don't care. I tell people to kill themselves all the time so I can't complain. It just goes to show how little value human life actually has. People don't give a shit about another person's life. I'm sorry for expecting empathy from another human being. That was my mistake.

We reinforce the illusion for each other. That's what a society really is, a little band of humanity huddled together against the specter of a pitch black sea. Everyone is treading water to keep their heads above the surface even though they have no reason to believe that the life they're preserving is better than the alternative they're avoiding. It's just that one is known and one is not. Fear of the unknown is what keeps everyone busily treading water. All fear is fear of the unknown. If someone in such a group of water-treaders betrays the group, lie by speaking the truth of their situation, that person is called a heretic, and society reserves its most awful punishments for heretics. If someone decides to stop struggling and just sink or float away, every possible effort is made to stop him, not for the benefit of the individual, but for the benefit of the group. To deny at all costs the truth of the situation."

If you would refrain from telling people to kill themselves, a modhat might be unnecessary.
Seriously: cut it out, guys... including you, MLA, or we might have to start getting official. This entire thread is starting to look like trollbait.

Well we think it does, and what we say goes.
Nobody wants this to turn into more than a speedbump, least of all us.
The speedbump is for everyone.

I had to take a look at the thread title again to remind myself there was an actual topic, and what it was.
Ummmmm....changing transit schedules that you expect in about 8 months, but occur on Columbus Day instead with barely a whisper.
