RE: Fixing the bible
I just told you. The leaders of a government should be accountable to the people. Not an indisputed ruler over them. That is what's best for society. So laws change according to the need, and there isn't one judge, jury, and executioner. If someone commits a crime, they're only accountable for the person or people they hurt. They don't have to beg the judge for forgiveness, nor can the judge decide if the person is forgiven.

This is quite different from what christians think about their god and his view of justice.

Oh, I know a few plumbers and they would object to their pipes being clogged and damaged by such garbage.

I don't know if the bible needs fixing, it just needs people not to take it so seriously. Treat it as myth. It has some beautiful stories and myth in it if you treat it like any other mythology.

If it was treated like most people treat The Iliad, I don't think it would need much fixing. It's mainly people like Ken Ham and Fred Phelps that you have to worry about.

That's not how most goverments work. Matter of fact the vast majority of the people alive today do not live under such a goverment.

Yes, you are right. The toilet is too refined a tool. To fix the bible one needs a tool that matches its coarseness and barbarity:

I am sure Herr Goebbels told some beautiful stories and myths as well. Some stories have become so inextricably linked to the uses it has been put to that its uses have become by far the more important parts of the overall story than the tale it tells. All story in the bible bible can not but vanish into absolute insignificance next the story of the bible, which is the story of tens of millions of people murdered, brutalized, and infantilized on behalf of a mostly made up talkes purported about a miserable failure of men who died 2000 years ago.
