It's you who suggested that kind of 'claim without evidence' when you said that I would have a better understanding by talking with muslim women. Don't dismiss my results of doing that now as being without evidence. I never said it was WITH evidence in the first place, and it was you who suggested it as a way to understand more.

I was asking about what those are about, not making any claims about them. My only claim is that I have heard things about them but do not know much. That is why I ask. At first glance they sound like ridiculous rules. Maybe there is something you can tell me that will change that, such as they are not actually written anywhere in your holy book, or that there is a good reason for them.

ok about the dogs thing its not mentioned in the Quran its in the sunnah(what muhammed(pbuh) used to do).before we pray we have to wash our hands,face,arms,head and legs if someone touched a dog he must wash himself again before praying and its not preferrable to have dogs in the place you pray in.any good thing you do for an animal according to sunnah you get rewarded for it.
about crossing legs i dont know what you mean there is nothing about crossing legs.
