There are trillions of planets where abiogenesis happened, millions of planets where sentient life arose. Where are all aliens?

Two reasons we may not have found aliens.

1) Time. There may have been life on another planet that went extinct a million or so years ago. But since it's extinct now, we won't know about it until, at very least, we can get to that planet and examine it close enough to find evidence of it. And that's even assuming we're able to find the planet, anyway, because if it got engulfed by its star enlarging or sucked up by a black hole, it wouldn't exist anymore. On the other hand, if life forms on another planet a million years after humans go extinct, we'll never know about it and they'll never know about us, either.

2) Placement. Not only would we need a planet a certain distance from the sun to support life, we would also need to be in the right place in the galaxy. There are a lot of astronomical phenomenon that could be very dangerous to life and even prevent life from existing. We're at a perfect place where none of those nasty things can kill us.

3) Distance. If the universe actually is infinite, yes, there is intelligent life out there. But it may very well be so far away that we'll never reach it. And vice versa; we're so far away from them, they'll never reach us.

They are three distinct persons which share the same nature of Deity....GOD, kind of like how you, your mother, and your father are three distinct persons, but you share the same nature...HUMAN.

Get it?
No, I don't. But perhaps you'll elucidate the difference between declaring that there are hundreds of gods and hundreds of persons who share the same nature.

Proof that Earth is special, please.

You are shitty person then

I never claimed Earth is special.

To our current level of knowledge, however, it is special in that it's the only planet we KNOW has life on it.

As to the second: Go fuck yourself with a spinning chainsaw.

We're talking about time and space here. When looking at distant systems, we're basically looking into the dynosaur age. Hopefully you're aware that light travels with 300.000 kilometers a second and nothing can speed that up.

So let me ask you a question in return. A question I never got an answer from any theist: Why, in your opinion, did god create such a vast universe? Did he get bored twiddling his thumbs for aeons? When only humanity is the chosen breed for your god, why didn't he simply follow the bullshit in the bible and create a disk with some pillars to hold his snowglobe? The universe seems like wasted time and effort.

You have to love the bliding ego of this one. I particularly enjoyed... Christianity isn't for everyone because after all, Jesus said "But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."

There is nothing quite like ignorance married to elitism.

Well, I'm not sure that there could be any "proof" of that. Whats to stop someone from looking down their nose and saying - "I don't think that's very special, hmph". Nada, and that's invariably where it would go. Does earth need to be special to be the only inhabited planet anyway? I don't see why it would, at least no more special than occupied apartment 1A is relative to the vacant 1b.

Meaning what? That absolutely makes no sense whatsoever, given the context of my question.

This is one of those theists who ignores questions put to him and makes grand claims that sound impressive and mean nothing.

Probably a Chopra fan
