The thing nearest to your heart is what is waiting for you.
Which proves OPs point. The only question is, what were they on when tripping to heaven?

My wife took a ferry that goes up the Lofoton islands along Norway. Incredibly scenic. Like Yosemite relocated to the coast.
Pining for the fiords, are you DramaticQueen? Better hope no one nails you to your perch.
As for the OP: weed was huge in my life for two or three years, nature remains huge for me, and I never liked the word spiritual. I'm more of a soul guy, more into the depths than the peaks. But I'm as in awe of the universe as ever. I am absolutely amazed that my organism put itself together in my mothers womb from a pile of DNA strands dumped there by both of them. That I've come to think I am who I am since then still leaves me feeling gobsmacked. So I could probably make the spiritual tag work so long as all the escapist and literal bits were removed.

I think that liking to get a little out of your head and finding yourself in awe of the world around us is a fairly common human condition Jace - probably billions of people like you, atheist or not.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
