Same question for Democrats....... all this blase generalisation just feeds the animals in charge because you never end up discussing policies, you're always simply trying to get one up on, or just outt argue the other side....whether the point of view you hold is the correct one, or if you even agree with it, seems to pale into insignificance compared to getting one over on the other side.

The problem with your first statement is that you've assumed I think the Affordable Care Act is the best thing ever. It isn't. Real progressives want single-payer. That wasn't going to happen. And you're right, corporations are going to pour huge sums of money into greedy lawmaker pockets, and that's even easier now since corporations are "people", thanks to the right's victory with Citizens United. Conservatives open up the door for an unprecedented, unchecked level of corporate money in politics and then you complain about said money? Sounds hypocritical to me.

A tragedy actually, since we've expanded that word to the point where it doesn't mean anything aside from "something sad". We can disagree on this point but it really irks me that we're seeing words pulled apart and expanded to the point where they don't mean anything. I like precision in my vocabulary. I've said elsewhere the he an ATheist represent a cross-section of the GOP. ATheist is the hard-core base while Heywood is the "I'm an independent, not a Republican, and both sides both sides both sides both sides both sides" pseudo-centrist who runs cover for Republicans like ATheist. It's a curious symbiotic relationship. Neither could exist without the other.

Single payer wasn't going to happen with the democrat leadership whipping against it when Sanders was going to propose his amendment. You progressives got sold out by the people you vote for.
