RE: Are atheist really that differnt than the religious ?.
Suicide by cop. Then probably some sock spamming.

Can we just all agree not to feed the troll? Let's all just put him on ignore and wash our hands of him. My 5 year old nephew is more mature than this. Let's not pander to it.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

So the 'exercise' was to say you're leaving, get some sort of satisfaction by flagellating yourself with the replies, and then what exactly? Just carry on??

The funny thing is, you're right about the OP. This place isn't a lot different than a religious forum. It's on the internet and people of at least similar opinions on the one topic meet here together to discuss it. Some are nice and some are mean. Many tend to react negatively or even overreact to people with an unpopular opinion especially if that person is new and not part of the pack. Of course we are not that different. We are people. We are all people regardless of our views, beliefs, and opinions.

I have never known anyone as confusing as you. You can be kind and considerate when you want to, you are smart about certain topics, and you are similar to me in disliking the person who thinks they're better or inherently right just because they're an atheist or a Christian or <insert religion here>. You are also very stupid. I don't mean it as an insult really, but just an observation. It's so strange to see a grown man who claims to be an atheist (and I don't know if anyone else remembers this, but one who writes and produces Christian music videos which happen to be pretty awful artistically but that's just my personal preference in music) and a critical thinker be presented with facts and evidence and refuse to accept or believe them. So, yes, you remain intentionally stupid.
You are unnecessarily cruel. I will always remember you as the first person who was ever mean to me on this forum and I was actually defending you at the time.
You are vile and disgusting and one of the most arrogant people I have ever had the misfortune of conversing with.
Rexbeccarox is one of the sweetest people on this forum and you lash out and say mean cruel things to her, for what? In order to get yourself banned? Or more likely just to get attention.
In the end of the day, you are just a sad, pathetic, and lonely old man with "nasty" swatstica cock and a really bad attitude. I feel sad for you. I almost want hug you but I kind of cringe at the thought of hugging someone who is proud of their swatstica tattoo. You are the single only person who was a member when I joined that could walk out today and never return and I wouldn't miss you at all. When you move on, try to learn something. Just like atheistforums.org is not that different from genericreligiousforum.com, everyone you meet is not all that different from you (apart from the disgusting tattoos). Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you're not better than anyone else and try to treat people the way you act like you think they should be treating you and everyone else.

I know I am not liked much here, but that doesn't bother me at all, I came here because I don't believe in a god, but I can see that many here have projected their same energy that they would have projected on to their religion if they were religious. There is not much difference at all, many here have their own dogma, science being one of them. There is nothing wrong in science but to hide behind it and believing you know it all be cause of it, to me is no difference than the religious mind.

Ok, there is no god, but there is a cosmos that is beyond our minds, there are mysteries that we will never know, after all we are just a speck of dust floating with little creatures called human beings believing they know it all, how arrogant is that, be that religious or none religious.

So I have learnt what I needed to learn here, and I am now leaving here, so thanks for the lesson I have learnt here, it was very interesting.

So both Atheist forums and Religious forums think you are a dickhead? Well good job, I guess there isn't much of a difference between us after all.

And who the fuck do you think you are ?, I don't fit into anyone's little box, I am who I am, and I can change from day to day, if I am surrounded by cock heads, then I will speak their language, the same when you are drunk, you speak that language. There are only a handful of dickheads on this forum, and their the ones that I point my anger towards.

I have taken a lot of crap since I have been on this forum, all I am now is just giving it back to the dickheads, as I said its their language, they know no better.

No, the religious forums treat people much better than this hole, I'm sure this hole is the way it is because most decent people have left, and hence the shit hole.

So go ahead and join the 'decent people' who left.

If you're so unhappy with this "hole" why the fuck are you so obsessed with being here?

Why do you make a big song and dance about leaving and then come back?

Here's a fix to your dilemma: You apparently don't want to be here. We, especially after today, don't want you here. So, fuck off.

But I sense this is just another attempt to get attention and to then get banned so you can feel better about yourself.

If you like religious forums, fuck off to one: you'll find they're a hell of a lot less tolerant than this or many other atheist ones.

And I'm sure the "decent people" you're referring to didn't leave, but were actually banned for being arseclowns like yourself.

I'm just Losty. I'm not claiming to be anyone special. I spend the vast majority of my time observing people and trying to understand them. I probably am terrible at it but I do it anyways because for whatever reason I have a strong desire to understand people and why they behave the way they do. I usually try to avoid voicing negative observations but I don't deny myself if I feel particularly compelled to do so.

I hate to break it to you, but no one fits into anyone's little box. No one matches what society expects of them. Sometimes you remind me of that anti conformist/emo-ish guy from highschool. I am constantly expecting to you tell me that you are extreme and hardcore. Dodgy

I read this cool book by the author of A Fault in Our Stars. It's called Paper Towns, if you can get over that fact that it was clearly written for high schoolers it's a great book. In it, the author talks about how people are like mirrors. When you look at someone you almost always only see yourself reflected back at you. So if you see dicks everywhere, maybe you think about what that says about you.
