Why did you stop being a Catholic?

I am technically an ex-Catholic myself in that I attended a Catholic kindergarten and attended Catechism until something like 10 years old. I didn't even buy into the nonsense as a child though so I may be a stretch of the definition. My parents figured it out and mercifully stopped the futile indoctrination.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Kids have no defense against the indignities their parents put them through...like being baptized a fucking catholic. But one can escape when one reaches the age of reason - about 7 for that shit - and it speaks volumes about the ones who willingly stay.
