I'm going to go to bed soon, so not time to individually reply to everyone. I guess that I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm sorry, what?

Take my advice give her space and if she comes to terms with you being a atheist she is a good friend if not well you can find friends. If she wants to convert you id leave her. I had plenty of experiences like this already with ex friends trying to convert me it didn't work and i refused too.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization join today.

I am sorry to hear that. Losing a good friend sucks, no matter what the reason. You can agree to leave that off the table on both sides. Unless one approaches the other for more information. I think what most say is true, if she values your friendship, she will not let your lack of belief get in the way. I have been friends with theist co workers, it can work.

I'm not saying ignore her, but I would say not to bring it up again until she feels ready to raise the subject. If she chooses to ignore you, that is very sad but it's her loss.
I think the most important thing is to let actions speak loudest, and show by example that atheists are decent people and not the spawn of Satan that we are made out to be by religious preachers.
I hope your friend does come around.
If she comes back fine if not you are better off without her. Compromising your beliefs to appease her not a road to go down. She can accept you for who you are or take a hike.

Think like an Aussie. Is it possible to get shagged if you lie?

It's just Drich trying to be a holier than thou smart arse, ignore him.
I'd say just continue on as before, there's no reason your friendship has to end because of this. She might well be surprised which spurred such a reaction but that doesn't mean she wants to sever all ties. When people come out as gay they sometimes can provoke strong reactions, but it often dies down and is accepted, the same goes for non-belief.
She might not accept it, but at least you know you tried to mantain it and she cut it off if she does. I'd try carrying on as if nothing had happened personally.

Just be honest and let the chips fall where they may. Anyone who only cares about you because they think you believe in their imaginary friend isn't someone worth being around in the first place.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide mankind that cannot be achieved as well or better through secular means.
