He admitted it in interviews after chemo, but that was not my point. My point is that companies that sell booze and smokes have no problem selling to the poor too. My point is you can't scream about a free market then condemn the poor for partaking in it.
The exact cause of many cancers typically goes undiagnosed. His heavy smoking and alcohol consumption certainly didn't help and undoubtedly raised his risk, but I keep in mind that his father died of esophageal cancer. Also, 30% of esophageal cancers are reported to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease. There are other known causes. Declaring that smoking and drinking killed Hitchens is a bit presumptuous.

Poor Shaming Doesn't Pay

Sorry for the missqoute moble apps suck
My point was that business that sold booze and smokes to a rich guy like Hitchens also wants the right to sell it to the poor so they can't bitch about the health affects to the poor.
I had to undergo random drug testing in the military and everyone who goes to work with my present employer has to undergo drug testing too. I feel so ashamed and violated.

Money and resources that could be used to do something excentric as actually helping the poor. I seem to remember some guy named Jesus rambling about that commie bullshit. Did you actually read the OP or are you content to let your ass do the talking?
I was at first fine with the idea. I changed my mind based on facts like these, namely from the state of Florida with their program.
Republicunts will most likely argue such measures are preventative and spin this into the program working like a charm. Because gerd dern it, nothing's gonna stop these fine upstanding men from waging their war on the poor and downtrodden. It's their cocaine for whenever they run out of real cocaine.

As someone on SSI and EBT I'm not sure how they think my 82 dollars a month is draining the public coffers. Please all mighty government tell me how starving one week a month is suctioning away public funds. I'm so sick of this bullcrap! I can't find a job because people think I'm helpless or lazy sometimes both, yet I work my ass off through school. And fight to be a contributing member of a shitty society that doesn't even want me! For fucks sake! I give up!

Second, let us imagine, contrary to actual fact, that doing this did find drug users. What would we do with those caught, put them in prison? Is anyone stupid enough to believe that that would save money? So it seems to me that this drug testing is a horrible waste of money. I am no lawyer, but on its face, it even seems unconstitutional. But regardless of that, it is a waste of money, and would even be an even greater waste of money if we found and then incarcerated people who were found to be using illegal drugs. No matter how it turn it about, it seems stupid and vile. "A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence." — David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, Section X, Part I.

What is so terrible about drug testing welfare recipients? Companies regularly require employees to submit to random drug tests or be fired. The reason Arizona's drug testing is ineffective and unfair is that they require suspicion of drug use prior to ordering a test. How do you come up with that suspicion? Do you follow them around for awhile? The law should be amended to require random drug testing for all adult welfare recipients. When a person is called for a drug test, they do it and it's over. I've been through a number of them myself. That's the way it is these days.
