The problem is that the people in charge are just as corrupt as the people patrolling the streets. Cameras are a great idea, but it relies on the police chiefs actually taking proper steps towards prevention when seeing video. or lack of video.

No guns.... no tasers.  Gee.  I wonder what the DIFFERENCE might be?  For a clue, look at the photo.  How much more threatening is a guy who closes a car door as opposed to a guy who is punching the shit out of cops?

It may sound like a broken record but American cops are really members of the Slave Patrol whose primary job is to keep blacks in submission.  They get away with it because the power structure supports and encourages their oppressive tactics.  Look what Reagan and Clinton did with their crime policies.  America has the most oppressive government system in the world but people think that they have freedom because of its outstanding propaganda.  Every conceiveable act known to man is illegal somewhere in America.

As pointed out in your article, white cops will only shoot white people if there's absolutely no other choice or unless the white person is really crazy.  But they use blacks as real live targets on a routine basis.  The country was founded on racism and the system has always been racist.  And that's a fact.  The trend will continue as long as the racist training contractors are allowed to corrupt the police departments with their oppressive tactics and there are for-profit prisons.

There have been numerous instances of prisoners being given improper or no medical treatment all across the country and faulty medical care seems to be the issue in Jones' death.  Maybe if the taxpayers start getting hammered with expensive lawsuits they will declare "ENOUGH."  A long shot but money talks...eventually.

I don't understand what goes through the heads of these cops. When you're keeping someone in a cage, you're fully responsible for their needs. they can't just go out and do this themselves. They need the cops to do it for them, and when someone dies in a cell it's going to be largely the officer's fault. If you don't think you can take care of someone while they're in custody, then don't put them in there.

They're supposed to be the good guys. I'm white, so I grew up believing the police should always be trusted. If I'm in a public place, and get separated form my parents, I'm taught to find a cop. When I have an issue, I call 911. These people know how they're supposed to act, because they act right with white people. They just choose not to, and people at large wonder why the black community is sometimes more chaotic than white neighborhoods. You would be too, if you can't trust the people patrolling the streets.
