Someone in the San Diego sheriff’s office thinks police protesters are drug-addicted ‘animals’

The San Diego sheriff’s department launched an investigation after someone sent obscenity-riddled hate mail to an activist group protesting police brutality.
But investigators soon learned, like the babysitter in the urban legend, the calls are coming from inside the house.

The activist group United Against Police Terror discovered the blog comment was posted from a computer, with a unique Internet Protocol address, within the sheriff’s department, and authorities launched an internal affairs probe of the case, reported the San Diego Union-Tribune.

That's the part that really makes me shudder, to contemplate what happened before the cameras.

I think, "this is how they behave when they know  they could be on film at any time!"

Black woman died days after prison guard threatened to beat her — now her family wants to know why

Less than 24 hours after being moved, Ellington was found dead in her cell. According to Florida medical examiner Barbara Wolf, Ellington died from heart disease.

Unhappy with the examiner’s report, Ellington’s family paid for a private autopsy which showed that she had lethal levels of the blood pressure medicine amlodopine in her system. The family also claims she had bruising, a cut on her face and showed other signs of abuse.

Black ex-cop says he and his son were beaten by racist colleagues who mistook him for fleeing suspect

The lawsuit, which is seeking $1 million in damages, claims that Owens and his son were treated as criminals by racist police officers.
“They were assaulted, arrested, handcuffed and placed in the rear of police cars due to the color of their skin and because they are African-Americans,” the suit claims. “One officer remarked that all he saw was a big black guy.”
According to the suit, some of the officers involved in the pursuit later denied they were present.
Providence police acknowledged during the department’s investigation that officers mistreated Owens and his son due to their race, the suit claims.
