You look younger in the photo than in your avatar.  Does your dog literally jump as high as your head like so many of this breed?

Jumping? Only when motivated. One of our females that has passed (KC) could clear a 6 ft fence (front feet hit the top then over). When herding, and not getting the sheep to move as fast as she wanted, would jump on their backs for sheep motivation.

Just got back to Misery (Missouri) after a few thousand mile run, from southeast Missouri up Kansas City, Kansas for Christmas, then down to Florida to get some of my business stuff out of storage, and then over to Louisiana to spend a few days with my parents. Made it out of KC before the weather turned bitterly cold and the snow fell, and had a lot of rain in Florida before I got a chance to really enjoy riding with my business partner and best friend, for the past few days, in Louisiana. It was only in the 40s, but we still had a blast...beats the weather up in the State of Misery!

Took a couple of pictures. Enjoy!

Warming up with a cup of local Community Coffee:

We found some great fried boudin (Cajun rice-sausage) at this little hole-in-the-wall gas station, and got a local kid to photograph us:

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I started out the night waiting for the womenfolk to get ready, but my friend and I opened a bottle of Jack Daniel's Sinatra, which is a $180 bottle of whiskey.

So fucking good. Smooth. Sinatra put Jack Daniels on the map, and they did his memory right.

We then all went to Winter Park, to a restaurant on Park Ave called Boca. They are farm to table, they grow their own lettuce on the wall. It was all very latent hipster, but it was a blast. I had Tuna Tartare, an arugula and roasted grape with goat cheese flatbread, and some fresh mussels in white wine. Great food, great people.

After that, we went to a place near where I went to high school called Graffiti Junktion. It was dead. Ghost town. Not good for them. Plus, while we were there, the DJ used a smoke machine and set off the fire alarm, which proceeded to go off for 30 minutes. We left and did NY's at my friend Anne's house.

All in all, awesome night.

My mother was raised Jewish but converted to Catholicism. Lately she's been rediscovering her Jewish roots or something like that.

That's interesting. I used to have some neighbors that called themselves Jews for Jesus so I was just wondering. Smile

I'll admit it. That's a good looking dude. I don't know that I'd call my thoughts "sexual", but I'm definitely jealous.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
