2015 Playoff Pick'em
Here is how the Playoff Pick'em will work. The 4 Wild Card Round games will work as per usual, picking one team out of two to win, and a correct pick is worth 1 point. For the Divisional Round games, you will have to pick the winner out of the 4 possible options for each game, and a correct pick is worth 3 points. For the Conference Championships, you will have to pick the winner out of the 6 possible options for each game, and a correct pick is worth 5 points. For the Super Bowl, you will have to pick the winner out of the 12 possible options for the game, and a correct pick is worth 7 points. Picks should be sent to me via PM by Friday (8th January) at 23:59. There should be 11 picks in total (4 wild card, 4 divisional, 2 championship, 1 super bowl). Wild Card Round (1 point each) Chiefs (11 - 5) at Texans (9 - 7) Steelers (10 - 6) at Bengals (12 - 4) Seahawks (10 - 6) at Vikings (11 - 5) Packers (10 - 6) at Redskins (9 - 7) Divisional Round (3 points each) Bengals (12 - 4) / Texans (9 - 7) / Chiefs (11 - 5) at Patriots (12 - 4) Vikings (11 - 5) / Redskins (9 - 7) / Packers (10 - 6) at Cardinals (13 - 3) Redskins (9 - 7) / Packers (10 - 6) / Seahawks (10 - 6) at Panthers (15 - 1) Steelers (10 - 6) / Chiefs (11 - 5) / Texans (9 - 7) at Broncos (12 - 4) Conference Championships (5 points each) Broncos (12 - 4) / Patriots (12 - 4) / Bengals (12 - 4) / Texans (9 - 7) / Chiefs (11 - 5) / Steelers (10 - 6) Panthers (15 - 1) / Cardinals (13 - 3) / Vikings (11 - 5) / Redskins (9 - 7) / Packers (10 - 6) / Seahawks (10 - 6) Super Bowl 50 (7 points) Broncos (12 - 4) / Panthers (15 - 1) / Patriots (12 - 4) / Cardinals (13 - 3) / Bengals (12 - 4) / Vikings (11 - 5) / Texans (9 - 7) / Redskins (9 - 7) / Chiefs (11 - 5) / Packers (10 - 6) / Steelers (10 - 6) / Seahawks (10 - 6)
I DEMAND A RECOUNT! 8-8? This gerrymandering has to stop!
Meh. Too complicated for me. I'm out.

I've only received one playoff prediction. Is the system too confusing for people? If it is, we can certainly just carry on as per usual and do weekly predictions, but there won't be many per week.
I kind of forgot about it. The playoff format did seem like a little much, but I guess I'll go with whatever the consensus is.

This might help people visualize:
![]() The #1 & #2 Seed in both conferences do not play in Wildcard weekend. They automatically get a pass to the next round. The #1 Seed will always play the lowest seeded winner (#6 is lowest) of the Wildcard Round. After that, normal bracket style, highest seed (#1 = highest) gets home field. The points you earn for picking correctly get higher the deeper into the bracket you get. If you pick the Super Bowl Winner correctly you get +7, AFC Champion, +5, etc.

I tried to make it easy by listing all the possible teams for each game. Basically there are 11 games, and you need to pick the winner for each one ahead of time.
For the wild card games you know which teams will be playing, but the divisional games rely on the winner from the wild card, so it adds more of a challenge. |
