I jogged in highschool gym. I never did more than 5 miles during one gym period.
I haven't jogged in a few ears, so now I get tired after 1 mile. Now I cycle.

Completed my first half marathon race this Saturday. I set my own personal goal to be below 1:40, and I finished in 1:39:34, so I feel pretty satsified with that

Awesome!
(And I hate you just a little...)
I walked the Portland Rock n Roll Half marathon with my mom yesterday (in just under four hours - they really do need to be run, that's way too long to be out in the pouring rain) and I know I said I was done with half marathons, but I'm signed up for next year...
Plus, getting that medal at the end is kind of addicting - now I have four of them!!

Have been running, and doing cross fit. Ran tonight, 4 miles added sprints. It went great, but it gets dark so early. Hate running in the dark. :/

The northern equivalent of the black forest literally starts in our backyard, and I go running through it every other day if possible. I have the same problem of course, so I got a headlamp for christmas. Now, running through the forest alone in the dark is not for everybody (my wife thinks it is a bit crazy, but I am this rather sturdy 6'2 guy ), but it has quite its own atmosphere, especially when some low hanging clouds are running through it. One expects some kind of dinosaur to lurk in the mist, really. Sadly, that never happens, but I met a group of wild boar the other day. If one feels spooked in the dark, it helps to listen to podcasts on skepticism However, I noticed that it doesn't help if it is an episode about ghost hunting and urban legends. Waah.
The forest route I've chosen is the first time I have a sizable altitude difference (250 feet) on.a round trip, and while that initially was exhausting for me, it is very useful. Before that we lived near the Netherlands, where everything is pretty flat.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

A head lamp? lol Is it steady or do you 'feel' it when you're running? Or is it like a head band that straps around your head?
*picturing this*
Running at dusk is quite something, but once it's pitch black, if street lights are burnt out or not turned on yet for some reason, it can be scary. :/

It's a tube-shaped thing on a rubber band. The light is steadier than I would have thought, really.

Nice, I might need to get one. LOL I run in black yoga pants and a black tank top usually, even at night. Not the safest.

If you simply add reflectors to.your black outfit, that'll look real sharp
