If you simply add reflectors to.your black outfit, that'll look real sharp Smile

That's the best idea everrrr! (really)   Smile

Well, it's dark outside now, and I've been playing online and it's time to run. The problem is the internet.  Or my lack of discipline to just run as soon as I get home from work.  Angry

I love to run when it's light out enough to make the woods look like they aren't the set of the vine rape scene in Evil Dead (this is a problem in NC - the woods looking that way, not actually being that way).

Although I just broke down and got another card for our community gym. I hate treadmills. -_- I'd rather run in the woods and pretend to be a Mirkwood elf.

RE: Running
I need to get back to running.

I took two years ago off because I was fixing up my house and it got to be too much to do training runs AND physical labor around the house.

And then the next year I crapped out when my friend said she wanted to walk the half-marathon, so I didn't have a reason to train for running...

And this year they haven't announced the half-marathon here so I'm wondering if they'll even have one...

In any case, I need to get back to it.

Have been running, and doing cross fit. Ran tonight, 4 miles added sprints. It went great, but it gets dark so early. Hate running in the dark. :/

I simply DON'T run in the dark. I need to listen to something when I run so I'm running with headphones in, which isn't the safest thing to be doing. I don't really have a problem with visibility - I just wear a flashy bike-light on at my waist. It's the not hearing things coming that freaks me out.

So I run in the daytime.

That's my problem. I don't run in areas that are safe during the darker months of the year. :/

Agree, would much rather run outdoors than indoors on the treadmill. Nothing more boring. Blush

lol yep!

Read an article that one should run at least two football field lengths away from a major road as to not breathe in exhaust fumes. Not easy if one lives in the city, etc.  Undecided
But, the article was mainly pointing to how running in a nature setting is best.

Agree entirely.

At least running outside you get fresh air and a changing view (not to mention a higher standard of pervs...)

RE: Running
We have a nature trail starting around the corner from my house, where I go for a run. It's not safe in there at night though, which makes it shit in winter when it's dark at 4PM. I need a new route, but it's all built up busy roads every other way.

hrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn there was this guy who would go running in the same section of the nature preserve as me, he had this amazing vintage undercut hair style that would fall over his sweaty brow and he NEVER WORE A SHIRT.

Running in the woods puts you with a different class of sweaty people altogether.
