Q: Should a nation act so as to favor another nation's citizens at the expense of its own?
Rhetorical, let go of the reply button. A nation needs to take care of its people or it's not a nation. Sometimes that comes at the expense of another nation's people, unfortunate as that may be.
This is why a one government world will never work.
I'm seriously considering applying Street Epistemology with certain atheists some of the times.
A world government is not a nation. So your conclusion doesn't follow. Therefore you made an empty statement in the last paragraph.

I'm just throwing another "American Dream" style term in there, to show that it's not the only place that's come up with that kinda thing.

KKusa, I think you just insulted 99% of your fellow Americans who will never attain the "America Dream".
They must be dumb and lazy by your definition.. Very few people aren't even in a situation where they can even chase it... Same with all first world counties... It's the 4040scam. 99% of people just cope, some do it a little more comfortably.
No God, No fear.

I'm sorry if someone is insulted but I didn't say anything that wasn't true. With few exceptions, anyone in the US that is smart and willing to work for it can chase and achieve the American Dream. I worked my ass off for years for chicken scratch and lived in some shit holes. I didn't have crap handed to me. I worked hard and made the choices it takes to be successful. Not everyone is capable or willing to do what it takes to achieve what I have. Either they don't have the IQ or the determination to do it. That is not my fault. My only point is that the American Dream is there for the taking and I took it. It took years to come to fruition but I did it. Most people look at successful people and get jealous. I never did that. I looked at what they were doing to be successful and applied it to my life. I earned everything I have and am proud of it. I'm just saying the "We have a term like this for us, and only us" when there's hundreds of others, is a bit silly

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

You know that's pretty much the thinking of the shallow end of the pool, right?
