God is Life?

Robvalue : It's not. What's the point of getting mad on forums? It would be useless : I'm not here to convince anyone and don't seek to be convinced by anyone. I'm not protecting anything, just questionning things

If Alex violates a rule, report him.  If not, don't.   What makes you think you can't?

There are even varieties of Christian practice within the USA which will be markedly different than whatever anyone experienced personally. You're right some of us tend toward parochialism. But I'm surprised you have a beef with Alex. That's pretty rare.

Everyone has a concept for a "supernatural being" and the primitive tribes do not produce all that you associate with "god" and "religion"... Why is that if "god" and "religion" always lead to whatever you claim it does?

I also think of god outside the box, but I don't think "life" is a good substitute. The word you find fits in best as a substitute for the most expressions including the word "god" does not seem like a good way to go about making sense of what "god" could mean. It doesn't seem like a good way to try to account for the pervasive, longterm tenure of god belief on this planet.

I don't know what you want from us. You've received several sensible replies, you just don't seem to like them.

I don't see much point in repeating myself. As far as I'm concerned, you're playing word games. Which is fine. But I don't see anything profound.

Call whatever you like God, but don't expect everyone to just do the same.

Why is it so chocking to most of you to try to think and question concepts? Why do you have this pavlovian reflex of polluting a thread as soon as people use the word "God"... Has this word done anything to you? You should call the Vatican if you've noticed a word has magical powers... and shout : "miracle"!!!

So, do you worship "Life"? Don't forget to include all the wasps, cockroaches, mosquitos, rats, buzzards, crap-weasels, snakes, and poisonous plants! Oh, if you meant to include only that which is good for you as a human, well that would be rather subjective of you, but you are free to knock yourself out - just don't expect the rest of us to follow you down that road, especially when you insist that it all has a unified, conscious awareness!

The world may have a food shortage, but certainly not a junk food shortage.

The world could be fed quite nicely if there was the will to do it and to provide the logistics and some money.

As far as McDonalds goes. It could only be used locally. But I guess, the homeless would have a smile on their face. Actually the French government took a bold decision regarding that. Supermarkets are no longer allowed to throw their excess products into the dumpsters at the end of the day. They have to give them to social organisations to be distributed among the needy.
There are several methods in the modern world for getting food.  One is to have an income and to pay for what you like to eat.  Another is to rely upon food shelves.  Another method is to become a prisoner and have the State feed you.  Growing your own food is not a viable option nor is stealing it.  A person can live off of throw-aways but it's not very healthy.

I'm sure you can report me. But where was I being rude? My first comment is a bit facetious at best in its wording, but addresses a point in your OP, and the other two are admittedly off topic, but not even directed at you or about you.

When you hear the words god is great, being shouted at murder scenes, then yes the word god offends me.
