If it's necessary then God isn't omnipotent. Why didn't he just make life out of sparkly unicorn poop and rainbows?

Sounds to me like you're saying God is constricted by the laws of nature. Interesting...

Why is life constricted? Why would God make it that way?
See...this is why theists avoid making positive statements about their god, and instead, spend all of their energy trying to poke holes in science: Because, as soon as they open their mouths on the subject the whole thing becomes exponentially more stupid with every word.

So there are some rules god can't work around? He couldn't make life so it didn't have this obstacle?
I'd have thought he could have made things any way he wanted, with this obstacle nowhere to be seen. Could he have done that, or not?

Why would an all-powerful God need laws of nature and complex systems at all? Seems like a pretty superfluous route for someone who can literally do anything he wants.
You are inserting God as an explanation for things that either already have explanations, or don't need them. All this does is generate more questions; questions that are literally unanswerable unless you are planning on baldly asserting a bunch of unverifiable crap as "answers". Which you've just done. So, where have we left off...God invented nature because...? Why again? Care to keep going?

Exactly. But yeah...the theory of evolution is FULL of holes, and can't be trusted, lol. *rolls eyes:*
