Even quite things can keep me awake. Anyone have a cricket outside or under the floorboard? Not bad when you hear the group collectively, but the sound of one single cricket drives me nuts too. I am very funny about sound and sleep. If I control the noise, like a radio or TV, that I can fall asleep to, but even with TVs or radios, if I don't have control over it it can keep me awake.

I was outside just now, I think that was a cardinal because I saw it interacting with a female on the road. Very loud very noisy.

IIRC, molesting most varieties of birds in the US (and most other countries concerned with such things) is illegal.

Having said that, a BB gun usually conveys the appropriate sentiment to our avian neighbors . . .
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I wasn't trying to kill it, just shew it away. That bird isn't going to die because of that. We also trap and move alligators. Don't confuse cute with nice. That bird was not scared of me, it knew it could fly away and why start up as soon as it sees me go in the house from the same spot? It was trying to get laid and it didn't give one fuck about me, I was simply another annoyance for it to deal with.

Humans chase off loose dogs and cats too. There were plenty of trees and much taller trees all over the neighborhood. And lots of people hate squirrels, I dont, I think they are cute. But if they made as much noise as that bird did, I'd do the same.
