And yeah, it is tough. My drinking hasn't caused me any problems yet so it's hard to find the motivation to cut down. But how long can that last? I don't want to have to hit rock bottom before I start doing something.
Good on you and glad you could join us. I just decided to get my weight in check this year now, before I developed related problems with my health like you. I wish us both luck. I know people who struggle with alcohol -including some who are succeeding- but I suspect it is even harder to come to grips with. But lets face it, either one will show you how hard it is to change brute habits. Free will? If at all, barely!
Don't worry all the bathrooms here are first come, first served.

Welcome to AF! I'm a Leo, which means . . . I'm not a Gemini. But I like the name. Fellow escapee from Xtian school here - jump on in, the water's fine.

Yeah, good luck to us both. Weight is an issue with me too--I started sprironolactone 6 weeks ago, and it can cause serious weight gain. I spoke to one woman last week who gained 40 pounds her first month on it.
And it's also a diurectic. So I'll be taking your offer on the bathrooms!

Yo! Sup. Welcome and stuff. It's cozy here. Help yourself to the babies and cookies. They're free, except for donations.
