Hey, Welcome!

Getting off alcohol addiction is tough work, I wish you all the best. Should we like put trigger warnings on threads where drinking is discussed? I'm not kidding

RE: Hello!
Isn't blaming a forum for making someone an alcoholic like blaming AC/DC music the case of people filing themselves?

On the telly, before the alcohol ads, they should put up a 3 second warning so potential alcoholics have time to change channels! Hang on, I don't think the marketing dept will approve of that one!

The ads are aired only to remind people to drink more in the first place! Hehe

RE: Hello!
Thanks Alex K, but no need for trigger warnings.

And yeah, it is tough. My drinking hasn't caused me any problems yet so it's hard to find the motivation to cut down. But how long can that last? I don't want to have to hit rock bottom before I start doing something.

Heyyyy, Gemini's a good lookin' lady, for an old married mom, anyway. Wink
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
