Wise atheists abandon belief in magic altogether. Otherwise you cannot deny authority with a face sitting somewhere in the realm of magic where everything is possible. Those guys are worshiping faceless God or mass of energy.
That's kinda nutty.
ETA:
I agree that we shouldn't believe in magic. I don't agree that anyone who believes in magic is worshiping a god.

Of course this idiot's a troll. His OP is pretty much a wind-up, by definition.

If I say something bitter your go straight in to attack mode and start calling names...
Grow up and take responsibility for your words. You've come here deigning to tell us what and how we think and believe, and when you get push-back you whine about being called names?
Hush, child. If you want courtesy, you must be courteous. Telling people what and how they believe is rude, and you don't merit courtesy at this point in time.
Don't like it? Tough shit. Life's hard. Get a helmet on, strap it tight, and shut the fuck up about your hurt widdle feelings. You'll get courtesy when you earn it with your own courteous behavior.

Pretty close to worshipping gods, actually. I meddled with wiccans for a while and they had some kind of religion. Although it was rather nature being the superior force, and us, being part of nature, being part of the divine ourselves. Same as every animal or even a stone, for that matter. I liked them. Still do, since they're not exclusive. Which can't be said about any scripted religion.

No wonder that many people go as far as divert all their resources otherwise spend on good life and instead put themselves in miserable life style(praying, donating, working hard) but with hope of good afterlife.
Yes, purple, that's an observation. People fear death and welcome any sort of comfort to drive away their fears. Us atheists sidestep that basic fear by thinking we're smarter than we really are and in so doing developing a false sense of indestructibility. Life sucks(your genitals if you're good at it). Drugs are the answer.
You're welcome.

Also, writing in a different color makes me look smarter than I really am and signing my name makes me look more interesting and intriguing than I am. I wonder what kind of cunt I am that I would do something like that. Truth is a handful, isn't it?
Are people really not over this yet?
You are a pretentious, condescending, passive aggressive little snotrag. Unfortunately for you, not even posting in green could add intellectual value to these snarky, narcissistic little rants you go on. Get over yourself, child.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

Mental ignore goes a long way towards dealing with certain people on these boards. If I see certain aliases having the last say in any thread, I don't even check what they said, since I automatically assume it wouldn't be worth my time.

Trying to "find god" is a ludicrous concept. No one can even say what it is. We wouldn't know it if we found it.
All supernatural/magical stuff is a good start if it ever will be proven.
Anyway I hope you have a wonderful permenant death. Cheers. Matey, this is where your stupidity betrays you...
If there was a God, then no-one would have a permanent death.
It's definitely a case of you thinking that believing or wishing something to be real will actually make it so.
You are either a child or the village idiot with those types of reasoning skills.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

But aside from wasting money in science to find God, there are people standing in the way of scientific advances because of their belief in God, i.e. stem-cell research. Additionally, they go out of there way to prevent the spread of current advantages given to us by science, such as birth control in countries overrun with AIDS and HPV vaccines in young girls...all because they think they are carrying out divine command. Kind of a bummer, don't you think?

I had noticed Penguin on the board, but had never really paid particular attention to his posts. After actually interacting with him, I think I'll go back to that.
